You've tried limits. Contracts. Taking the phone away.
What if the answer isn't more control — it's collective?
You've already stepped up. You've said the awkward thing in the group chat, maybe even started a tech pact with other parents. But doing this alone is exhausting. What if you had a simple way to organize, save time, and connect with parents who get it?
When one parent speaks up, it's hard.
When five parents do it? It's culture-shifting.
Four Norms isn't just a toolkit, it's a growing network of parents, local groups, and aligned organizations working toward healthier tech culture together.
As more people join, you’ll be able to see how other groups are organizing, discover petitions and templates that are already working, connect with organizations doing this work in schools and communities, and share what’s worked in your own group to help others start strong.
We're building the infrastructure, but the movement is shaped by everyone on it.
That's what makes it powerful.
Most platforms will tell you what to do. Four Norms gives you the how.
We built Four Norms because parents deserve better tools and infrastructure to organize, align, and take action. So no, this isn't just another library of articles or expert advice — it's infrastructure for parents who are ready to actually build momentum in their communities.
Whether you're starting from scratch or organizing inside a group you already belong to, you'll get access to tools that make collective action easier, faster, and more coordinated:

Getting Started Playbook
Click view to view this playbook on how to get started in your community! This playbook gives you the first steps that you need to mobilize collective action in your community.
You shouldn't have to lead a movement with a spreadsheet and a gut feeling.
Four Norms gives you structure and social proof. Now you can stop writing every letter from scratch and start using what's already working in groups across the country.
Questions Many Parents Have
What if I've never organized anything before?
Most Four Norms leaders hadn't either. You don't need credentials — just curiosity, a willingness to reach out, and the right tools. We've got those ready for you.
What if I try and no one shows up?
Sometimes that happens. And it doesn't mean you're doing it wrong. Most parents feel the same way you do… but they're overwhelmed, unsure, or waiting for someone else to go first. Sometimes it takes two or three tries to find the right people — or the right moment. The platform gives you tools to keep it simple and stay encouraged.
Do I need to get permission from a school to use this?
Not at all. You can use Four Norms independently — in your friend group, on a team, in your neighborhood, or as a parent in a school community. If you do want to partner with a school, we've got outreach tools for that too.
What if my group loses momentum?
We've included simple follow-up tools and examples of what's worked for other families. You don't need a weekly meeting to make progress — just a shared goal and a few touch points.
Can I share these tools with others?
Yes — please do. Four Norms is built to spread. The more parents who use the same language and tools, the easier it becomes to shift what's expected. We build the infrastructure, to support the parents and advocates building the movement.
